Museum of British Surfing


Through our design faction – philipbridgesdesign.com – we have just completed the Identity and Branding for the Museum of British Surfing.

This was a very complicated brief needing to be both authoritative and subversive, ’surfy’ but not cheesy, British but not too nationalistic, iconic but not egotistical, and at the same time appealing to surfers and non-surfers, from 10-70 years old.

With direction from Museum trustees Pete Robinson and Richard Gregory (www.wavedreamer.co.uk) we settled on a Union flag, ‘punked’ by a wave. So far feedback has been all good.
