The quality of our service depends on the professionalism and dedication of the Xworks team and our extended network of riders, photographers, sponsors etc. Our team’s reputation as riders and crew is reflected by our competition results and company achievements; from the designing and building of courses to event organising/management and ground level implementation over the last 10 years. Xworks team riders competitive results include National series, European Cup and World Championship titles.
Andy Potter
Event Director
Andy has a 15 year reputation for expertise in construction; planning and management of building projects, schedules and budgets. Alongside this, an extenisive list of freesports achievements: climbing, trekking, snowboarding and mountainboard guiding, backed up by an impressive list of competitive success, sponsorship, travel, product R&D and television appearances.
In 2001 Andy set up Makin’ Trax, offering design and construction of Mountainboard facilities and event management. Leading the development of this fledgling industry created the opportunity to work with the finest in the Mountainboard industry and many of the best across the diverse spectrum of Freesports.
Examples of contracts over the years include:
• White Air Extreme sports festival since 2002
• NASS (National Adventure Sports Show)
• British Ski and Snowboard show
• Mountainboard World Downhill Championships since 2004. Italy, Cyprus and
France.
• ATBA UK (All Terrain Boarding Association) British National Championship

Phil Bridges
Creative Director
Phil Bridges has been designer and art director at Tiki, the UK’s largest surf company,
for 6 years, overseeing all UK and International brand and product identity, advertising, marketing and sales support.
High profile projects include; the PRODIGY wetsuit – the world’s first heated wetsuit to be released to the market, and the INTERNATIONAL SHAPER TOUR 2009 which saw three of the world’s best surfboard designers visit the UK for a week long promotional tour.
Phil has also produced artwork and managed campaigns for a number of International clients:
- Museum of British Surfing
- Resin8 surfboards
- The Mountainboard World Downhill Championships
- White Air; Europe’s Largest Extreme Sports and Music Festival
- O’neill wetsuits, Sydney, Australia
- Wake magazine, Melbourne, Australia
Phil was British Mountainboard Freestyle Champion in 2001 and has surfed and snowboarded in over 15 countries worldwide.

QUANTYA PARX NEEDS YOUR HELP
South Staffordshire Council have refused the planning application for the first Quantyaparx in the UK. The park was compared to a large motocross event which took place in the area and disturbed neighbours. Obviously a Quantyaparx is nothing like that. Electric motorbikes are silent to start with, and the park would cater to group bookings and corporate events, not big spectator events. We are now in the process of appealing.

MET 2010 – MOSCOW!
The crowds were out in force at the MET 2010 Freestyle event in Moscow to witness some of the best mountainboard freestyle seen this year; 720 corked spins, backflips, rodeos and a double backflip attempt (so nearly stomped) by Arno.
